A thousand ancient olive trees of the rare variety Carolea, with their silver-green foliage fully exalt the extraordinary chromatic shades of our vineyards which grows at an altitude of 230mt asl. The plantation is trained with the umbrella system and the olives are manually harvested at the end of September
Tenuta Cavalier Pepe produce high quality extra vergin olive oil made from the
prestigious Ravece olive variety. The plantation is located in the DOP area of "Irpinia Colline dell'Ufita DOP" at an altitude of 350-500nt asl.
This olive oil is obtained from the centuries-old olive groves of Coratina variety raised by the de Corato family in the countryside of Andria since the end of the 19th century even before starting the wine production. The olives are hand-picked from the trees and cold worked to maintain the maximum organoleptic characteristics.
