Puglia
In the early 1900s Giuseppe de Corato acquired the vast Rivera estate, in the territory of Andria, and planted it to vines, olives, and grain. Fifty years later, his son Sebastiano founded the Azienda Vinicola Rivera, and committed to increasing the value of the viticultural potential of the Castel del Monte area, a tradition that was later carried on by his son Carlo. The old cellar was renovated, the vineyards replanted, the most up-to-date practices adopted, and high-quality wine was the result.
In the farmland of Turi, in the province of Bari, lies the Coppi wineries. In this area, 250 metres above sea level, the coast’s gentle breeze and the warm sun of the South, along with the microclimate of a safeguarded rural and still untouched landscape, the best wines of Puglia are produced.
